Today the latest additions to the ambulance are finally complete. These are the new wheels i've waited forever for (at least it feels like it anyway). They are the new Cragar 500G Eliminator wheel, wrapped with 4 new Firestone Firehawk tires. The rears are 255/70/15 and fronts are 225/70/15 and all 4 wheels are 15" x 7" with stock offset. Only snag during mounting & install is the front dust caps popped off the center caps! For now i'm running the Cragar centers & no dust caps until I can get at the lathe to make a shorter set or somehow buy some.

As for the duals, they are custom bent & sound so snarly! Went with glasspacks & when I saw they were the old-school versions with internal louvers & not perforated holes... I told the guys to put them on backwards... talk about pipes that cackle! Took the muffler shop 2 days to run these but the effort was worth it, all you can see is the pencil tips peeking out the bumper ends.

Scored a new 1966 NOS driver's side bumper end on Ebay last week & it's never been installed... can't wait to get it on. Obviously the one that's on now is rotted beyond belief & this new one is perfect. Slowly i'm gathering up parts & making some mods. Have a long way to go but enjoying every minute of it!

Those rims looks GREAT on there. :) I hadn't seen those rims actually ON a car before yours. They look fantastic!

Thanks for the compliment Dean! Yeah the guys at New Stalgia Wheel were anxious for pictures too! They've sold a few sets but no one had shared pictures yet. I'm very happy with them & love the look. They aren't so overpowering that your eyes are immediately drawn to them, but they do look sharp. They make this "500 Eliminator" wheel in 3 styles... all polished, gray center, and flat black center. These are the gray centers, had I known they offer these in all polished I probably would have opted for them instead but oh well, these really work on the ambulance!

I would like to see the polished centers. Like I said on another site I do like them.

Thanks for the offer but I just got a smokin' deal on a set of real NOS bumper ends for $89 apiece on Ebay. I will be in touch to see if you have some other '66 Cadillac items such as the tail light inserts that fill in the area between the bumper & the lens (2 on each side) and a passenger side front fender...

Dwayne,

Very nice car. I am considering putting duals back on my Dodge ambulance. Did you get them done all the way up to the exhaust manifolds?
